The team hit the streets of Orlando this morning. Our crew of seven snapped about a thousand pix around downtown and one of the city's parks. Below are three photo-journalistic shots from my photo set.
In the afternoon, we took time to review and critique each other's photos as well as discuss the upcoming trip. Jessie Anderson (team co-leader) led us in a devotion. He took us to the passage in Matthew 8 which describes Jesus' encounter with two demon-possessed men. Jesus' power over the evil spirits drew people to Him and made their hearts inquisitive. As missionaries we should always be prepared to give an answer to people who ask us about the hope within us.1 Peter 3:15-17
"But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander. It is better, if it is God's will, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil. "
